Pregnancy Q & A

fullsizeoutput_3d99christina_cenci_youth_of_the_sunyouth_of_the_sun_christina_cenciI am just about 34 weeks pregnant so I thought I would share my most common asked questions.

How many weeks pregnant are you? 33 weeks & 5 days

How did you find out you were pregnant? Pregnancy test. Haha kidding, but really! I didn’t get my period for a while so I went to the dollar store to get a pregnancy test out of curiosity. We thought since it was a dollar store one that it wasn’t accurate but it was!

How did you tell Daryoush you were pregnant? I told him I got a pregnancy test & we both waiting anxiously looking at the test. When we saw two double lines our jaws dropped in awe.

Gender? Boy.

If you could choose boy or girl, which would you want? I 100% wanted a boy & had a feeling I was having one.

Do you have a name picked out? Yes, I want to announce it the day he is born.

Does he kick a lot? Oh my goodness, YES.

Do you like being pregnant? I recently just starting feeling pregnant the last 2 weeks. Almost the entire pregnancy I have felt my “normal” self, so I would say yes 🙂

Biggest craving? Pickles.

Any morning sickness? Luckily I had no morning sickness but in the beginning I did feel a nausea feeling & did not want to eat anything!

When did you feel the first kick? I actually wrote it down in his baby book, I was so excited! I felt his first kick on February 18th 2018 at 11:05am.

How much weight did you gain during pregnancy? Do I have to answer this? Hahah uhhh 17lbs (inserts emoji face). The baby weighs 5lbs!

Did you get any stretch marks? No, thank goodness. I put on coconut oil or rosehip oil twice a day & drink one gallon of water a day to help keep my skin stay hydrated.

Do you have any body swelling? None at all so far! I actually got more veins & muscles.

Are you wearing maternity clothes? No I went to Forever 21 & got a bunch of dresses that are comfortable for the time being that are easy to slip on, cute, & inexpensive! For workout clothes I wear lululemon or Nike high waisted leggings.

Are you doing a Natural or C-section? I was told I have a low sitting placenta which blocks the passageway for delivery so I have to do a c-section.

How is your sleeping? I sleep throughout the night & I cat nap during the day as much as possible. I feel guilty when I sleep during the day sometimes because I think of all the productive things I can be doing, BUT in the back of my mind I know its good to sleep now since I won’t for the next 18 years or so haha.

Did you diet? I “eat right for my type” which is a lifestyle for me of eating proper foods that my blood type can easily digest. I am blood type A, so no meats, only fruits, vegetables, & lentils. I did add salmon occasionally to my diet for some extra omega 3’s & protein now & then.

What exercises did you do? I did Barry’s bootcamp double floor my whole pregnancy up until about 2 weeks ago. I do a lot of weight training for sculpting. My doctor said I didn’t have to modify too much since I did those exercises prior. I was only told to modify the amount of weight I am lifting. I also walk about 3-6 miles a night during the week for cardio.

How is your mood? I do get moody aka “hangry” if I miss a meal.

Did your boobs change? BIGGER. I did have my nipples pierced (which is usually a surprise to people) but I did take them out because they started to feel sore & hurt.

Did pregnancy change the types of skincare products you used? I use vegan skin products that are approved by my doctor.

Are you nervous about labor? I am nervous to do a c-section BUT the thought of doing a natural birth is scarier to me, so I am grateful to do a c-section.

Will you breastfeed? Yes, there are so many amazing benefits from breastfeeding.

Do you have a nursery theme picked out? Not necessarily a theme but his nursery is  ivory with espresso colored woods for the furniture & you can find some lions in there.

What will you miss most about pregnancy? Going to the doctors appointments to hear his heartbeats inside my belly. I give the biggest grin every time I hear it!

What has been the best part of being pregnant? Feeling him move around especially when I sing or play Mozart. We listen to a lot of piano 🙂

What’s been the worst part of being pregnant? Sweating even just sitting there sometimes but then again maybe it is the Florida heat.

Who will be with you during labor? Daryoush in the delivery room & family that will be waiting in the waiting room patiently until he arrives.

Will you record your labor? I am currently in the process of looking for a videographer so if you are a videographer or know of one let me know!

What are you most looking forward to after pregnancy? Having a mini me to love,  laugh with, grow with, read to, & to thoroughly enjoy the holidays with in ways I haven’t done in a while.

Will you share a lot of the baby on the blog? Absolutely.

Do you want more kids? Yes, in the next 5 or 6 years. Not anytime soon!

I hope this answered any questions I have received! I hope the rest of your week is just as amazing as you are. Thank you for visiting!

Sounds like you were actually quite lucky when it comes to the morning sickness and stretch marks! It’s so interesting to read answers like this, having never been pregnant myself I can’t even imagine half of it lol.

Have a good weekend dude 🙂
